
Call me Oprah because my drug of choice is food. I have always been that way and I have to laugh about it because otherwise I’d be crying about it.
My weight directly coincides with my happiness, and I have finally learned that moderation does not mean ordering 2 meals at McDonald’s but only eating one order of the fries. I have been slowly losing weight for years but when Eric and I got engaged, I knew I had to go into workout overdrive. I have found that working out more instead of eating less works best for me because I love food too much. I’d rather eat macaroni and cheese and workout 20 minutes longer than just eat a salad. I’ve never felt the need to be a size 0, but there will be no chubby brides at my wedding. For the past several months, I have gone in and out of workout crazes to prep for the wedding, but this past week I have been stress eating. Stress eating is a black hole of potato oles and shame. This week, however, I will eat well and workout because I know I’ll feel better about everything if I take care of myself in the days leading up to the wedding.
But let’s be clear… the day after the wedding I plan on eating as many nachos as humanly possible.
