Eric and I are so so excited to announce that we are expecting our first baby this fall! We couldn’t be happier, and I couldn’t have more backne* or chestne* because of it. My stomach is enormous already for only be 4 months along (like 10 Kate Middleton babies could fit in there right now) and all my regular clothes still fit.
So that’s awkward.
But I don’t even care. Because I’ve got a cute little baby growing in my belly. How do I know it’s going to be cute, you might ask? I can already tell it’s going to be cute by the sound of it’s heartbeat. Eric is really skeptical of that logic, but I just tell him, “Shhhhhhhhhhh…Mommy knows.”
Since I haven’t been writing for the past few months and updating everyone on the unthinkable things that are happening to my body right now, I’ll make sure to rewind and fill you all in on my first trimester. In the meantime, here is a short recap of the past 3 months:
Me: “Omg, I like look sooo preggo right now. Don’t you think, honey?”
Eric: “Uhhhh…yeah, I mean…I guess? You look the same to me.”
Me: “Oh, great, so you thought I was this fat all along?? Grrrrreat!”
Eric: “Oh, I mean no no no…you look amazing…so preggo.”
Me: “Whatever. Get me a Ginergale with a straw in it because I’m nauseous. And don’t open the top too much or it will spill. And get me some CRACKERS!”
Eric: “Yes, dear.”
It’s been real fun for the both of us. Can’t wait to share more with all of you.
XO
Kate
*Backne is acne on your back. It’s disgusting. I’ve never had it before until I got pregnant and now my back looks like a pepperoni pizza.
Oh you didn’t want to know that about me? Too bad. If I have to know, you have to know.
*Chestne is acne on your chest. For more details, read above.
Happy for you guys…..maybe a little jealous….. or a lot! All the yucky stuff that happens to your body while pregnant is so worth it! Hope we get to see the 3(yeah!) Of you at Christmas. Best wishes Kate!
Congrats Kate and Eric! So happy for you two.
